Abstract:
“The keynotes gives a critical overview of the current standardization efforts in the BIM context. It is critical, because the current BIM standardization is viewed from the perspective of surveying and geographic information. The results of the technical report ISO/TR 23262:2021 of the ISO / TC 59 / SC 13 – ISO / TC 211 Joint Working Group JWG14 “GIS-BIM interoperability” are presented. It is shown how diverse the standardization efforts for data structures, services, content and processes are when it comes to the interoperability of digital twins of the built environment. In conclusion, future trends in GIS-BIM integration will be anticipated.”
